Lily Purslow Art

I have a passion for hand embroidery and textiles, and mostly take commissions for bespoke hand embroidered art. I also create watercolour illustrations and pattern designs making soft furnishings too. Colour, texture and pattern are important themes in my work.
For Christmas specifically I make small handmade embroidered decorations. I love to share my art with others and I’m often inspired by art throughout history.
I work at an Arts and Crafts property for the National Trust which inspires a lot of my work - currently I am starting a project on May Morris embroidery and textiles. I also love incorporating found objects into my hand embroidery like shells or plants, or other medias combining watercolour and embroidery.
