Stitches and Hos

Stitches and Hos are a motley crew of stitch enthusiasts based in Birmingham, UK who use yarn & needles to challenge stereotypes around the art of stitch.

Stitches and Hos was started in 2006 by Sara Fowles and a group of friends. Whilst sipping in the lounge bar of their local pub one friend posed the question "Wouldn't it be funny if people were knitting in here?"

Stitches and Hos produce events, projects and pieces with stitch at their heart, including our annual yarn festival Yarningham

Using natural fibres we make modern knitted gifts to adorn you and your home in autumn and winter.

We create pieces that will become treasured keepsakes for you to use year after year.

All of our pieces are handmade in Birmingham.
