Buttons Beads and Blanket Stitches

My work largely consists of two areas, printmaking (hand cut and burnished lino prints specifically) and stitch. I do use a sewing machine for some of my pieces, the pencil cases and cushions for example, but it is sewing by hand that I really love.

Very often, these two areas of print and stitch combine; my merfolk decorations for example, begin as lino prints on linen which I then embellish with sequins, beads and tiny stitches…
