Janice Fellows Ceramics

Janice hand crafts porcelain ceramics from her new workshop in her Worcestershire cottage garden. Using mainly hand building techniques she creates simple shapes that appear fine and delicate. Pieces such as bud vases and trinket dishes are imprinted with patterns from found objects and natural organic materials. Leaving the pieces mainly unglazed allows the fluid lines and natural light to shine through. When using glaze she highlights patterns with glass, splashes of blue oxide and gold lustre to catch the light and emphasise features.
