Nicola Bird Art

I am a coloured pencil, pastel and graphite artist based in Hampton-in-Arden. I specialise in pet portraits, people portraits and wildlife art and started my business in 2018.

I am a self taught artist and I work on a commission basis, creating highly detailed portraits which capture a treasured image for my client. I am also working on a collection of portraits that will be available as prints. To date, most of my commissions have been canine portraits which I love. Being mum to a lovely Miniature Schnauzer called Vesper I know how important our pets are to us!

I am passionate about drawing animals and relish the challenge of capturing their unique character and beauty. I was highly commended at The Artist and Leisure Painter Open Art competition in 2019 and one of my canine portraits has been selected for the UK Coloured Pencil Society Drawn to Nature annual art exhibition.​
