The Handcrafted Hen

The Handcrafted Hen is where I hope to bring together all that I've learned to propel me forward. I produce handmade soft and hardback notebooks, sketchbooks, watercolour books and portfolios using traditional methods and techniques. Where possible I use repurposed fabrics for the covers, and source any decorative papers I use from sustainable suppliers. I also enjoy paper marbling and use these papers in my books. I'll be delivering workshops soon at The Herbert Gallery in Coventry based on bookbinding and marbling techniques. I've been taking my book out to craft fairs and arts markets but need to be more selective to attract more interest. I have an Etsy page, a website, fb page and an Instagram page which I'm starting to create videos showing some of the process I go through to make my books
